Enjoy our FPL tips for gameweek 10, which are based on predictions of the FPL algorithm. These Fantasy Premier League tips focus on the next gameweek without forgetting the big picture. The future potential of each player is based on our unique FPL fixture tracker. This matrix shows expected goals and clean sheet probabilities precisely for each team.

Watch out for Carabao Cup this week! Majority of the teams are involved at Tue & Wed in the Carabao Cup. These matches can give you some fresh insights and also bring some unwanted injuries.

Attacking potential

One team stands out at GW 10 and that is Liverpool. Klopp’s troops were destroyed at London last round by Spurs. Liverpool were defeated 4-1 and it’s time to bounce back now. LFC lock horns with Huddersfield, who caused a shock defeat to Manchester United last Saturday. This doesn’t have much of an impact anymore and Liverpool have been very dominant in all of their home matches this season. So far they’ve just failed to score accordingly, except in the match against Arsenal.

The best options are currently Mohamed Salah and Philippe Coutinho. Summer signing Salah has been a solid producer all season and he has 8G + 2A from the previous 10 matches. Coutinho has been in great form since his return from injury. The brazilian midfielder has 4G + 3A from in previous six matches! [check LFC player stats from here] Liverpool attackers have nice potential in the bigger picture as well. If we look at the FPL fixture tracker, Liverpool have the third highest goal expectancy in the Premier League during the next six gameweeks. They have only one tough fixture in sight (Chelsea at home) and the rest of the matches are against lower midtable teams.

Chelsea, Man City and Arsenal have almost equally good goal scoring potential. They all lose a bit to Liverpool, though. Manchester City has been mentioned constantly in the previous weeks and you’d definitely keep the maximum amount of City players in your team. They still have the best goal scoring and clean sheet potential when we look at the next six gameweeks forward. Be careful with the player selection, though. Aguero’s return has stirred the pot again and last round both Sterling and Jesus were benched. Play safe and pick KDB & David Silva with one defender.

Watford is the best mid-priced team this week. Watford play against mediocre Stoke team at GW 10 and meet Everton and West Ham after that. Richarlison and Doucoure were again in the lime light when Hornets were defeated by Chelsea 4-2 last round. These players will be golden picks throughout the season for sure. Don’t think for one second Watford are so high in the standings because of some short-term fluke. Richarlison and Doucoure are good picks for this week due to their short-term potential.

Defensive potential

Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City have all very good chances to hold a clean sheet. Arsenal are the number one candidate due to meeting one of the Premier League’s weakest offences. Gunners have been very solid in similar home games earlier and defeated WBA, Brighton and Bournemouth all to nil. I wouldn’t bring any Arsenal defenders in right now, though. Gunners meet Spurs and Manchester United after this week, so the timing is not good.

I brought personally in Moreno this gameweek. Liverpool have very potential fixtures coming up and both of their full-backs (Gomez, Moreno) cost only 4,5 million. Manchester City have also an excellent source for defenders, just like it is for attacking players as well. If you are unsure which attacker to pick due to Pep’s rotation, add one defender instead. City have about three clean sheets coming up during the next six gameweeks.

I’ve mentioned Southampton many times in my previews and the good old Saints didn’t let me (or you) down last round either. Southampton defeated WBA 1-0 at home and brought yet another clean sheet. Saints have still two juicy fixtures coming up before the schedule turns sour. It’s still a good idea to bring in a Southampton defender if you have none. Saints face Brighton, Burnley and Everton (the last two at home) during the next four gameweeks. Just stay out of their horrible attackers!

Manchester United were the CS kings earlier this season, but Mourinho’s troops are going through a tough schedule right now. Red Devils meet Spurs and Chelsea during the next two gameweeks, so you’d definitely stay out of this team for now. The schedule turns better starting from the GW12. Then it’s a good idea to bring back Lukaku or United defenders.
