premier league fixture difficulty

Fantasy Premier League Gameweek 27 starts the period of the season, where we see shorthanded gameweeks. Chelsea, Manchester City, Brighton and Everton are not involved due to the League Cup final. It’s also known, that Gameweek 31 will be missing half of the teams due to the FA Cup. It’s not yet decided, which rounds will have double fixtures. Look our Fixture Tracker closely to see which teams will benefit most of these fixture changes.

FPL GW 27 tips – attacking potential

West Ham

West Ham have the fifth highest goal scoring potential in the next six gameweeks. They are one of the few top-half teams with a full schedule, which has also some favourable fixtures. West Ham have four home matches in the next six rounds against FUL, NEW, HUD and EVE.

Hammers are still without January signing Samir Nasri, but top striker Marko Arnautovic should return from injury. Michail Antonio is also a good pick. He missed most of the early season, but the pacy winger has 3 goals and 4 assists from the previous 12 matches.

Leicester

Leicester is another team with full schedule in the next six gameweeks. Their goalscoring potential is 7th highest in the Premier League, which means Foxes have some great matches coming up. Just like West Ham, they have also four home fixtures in the next six rounds. Opponents are nice: CRY, BHA, FUL and BOU – all weaker teams than Leicester.

The number one pick could be winger Ricardo Pereira, who has one goal and three assists from previous eight matches. It’s not much, but it’s more than any other Foxes’ player. You shouldn’t rule out Jamie Vardy (in the picture) either, who scored last round against Spurs.

FPL GW 27 tips – defensive potential

Liverpool

Liverpool is the number one team defensively, despite the fact they meet Manchester United away. Reds have no blank fixtures coming up, so you have a good CS shout each gameweek. The Old Trafford trip is tough, but after that it’s Watford, Everton, Burnley and Fulham coming up.

Liverpool full-back Andrew Robertson has been a fantastic pick all season. If you don’t have Robertson already, buy him now! James Milner is getting action as well on the other side, but he’s a midfielder in FPL. You’d go for either Van Dijk or GK Alisson if you want to add more defenders from Liverpool.

Newcastle

Newcastle has a fantastic clean sheet potential in the six upcoming gameweeks. In fact, it’s 3rd highest in the Premier League. This is because Manchester City is missing two matches and other top teams have blank fixtures too.

Magpies have defended well all season considering the player material. They have fantastic fixtures coming up, which can really bring a clean sheet or two. Newcastle have three home games in the next four gameweeks facing HUD, BUR and EVE.

The defence line is cemented and since there are no injuries, you’d have quite safe picks there. Fabian Schär has picked up 2 goals and an assist in the previous four matches. Consider also wing-back DeAndre Yedlin (in the picture).
